So So - For a relatively cheap price I got a relatively cheap laptop desk. Construction required but came with all parts including some spare screws which I appreciated but did not need. One of the plastic guard rails was cracked - I just glued it back together rather than mess with an exchange. I am using it and while it does rock some side to side it seems otherwise fairly sturdy. This desk s minimum height is rather high so be sure to check the specs before ordering.
Good value but not perfect - This table is a definite improvement over the free-standing TV-tray (combined with a lap desk) I was previously using. The ability to tilt is very helpful. The biggest problems I have with it are that the arm isn t quite as long as I would like and the desk doesn t go as low as some might want.I found that I actually prefer having the telescoping support fully collapsed, which is below the lowest lock-point. In this unofficial position, the support arm is free to rotate. While this can be inconvenient (it may rotate away if too much pressure is applied while using the laptop), I find it very handy to be able to rotate the table surface out of the way rather than having to roll the entire table away from my chair.A more detailed review is available on my blog:http://ren.dnsalias.com/ren/blog/2008/09/20/new-laptop-table/
Convenient product to have - This is a great little mini-desk to have in the living room. My husband and I have it neatly sitting next to the couch and we use it every day with our laptops.
Price vs Features...hm...price won - I purchased this table because I was having a hysterectomy and needed something I could use for both my laptop and reading books. I had to have something I could use in a chair, in bed, or on the couch. It had to tilt. It also had to raise and lower as needed. I liked this immediately because of the ribs that hold the items in place when the tray is in a tilted position. Overall this item was well worth the money I paid for it and the use I got out of it. I still use it and I really don t need it at this point. It is nice to have something I can just pull over the bed and not have to lift. I loved the double table top, so I could work on my laptop and have my cup of coffee or reference materials right next to me.The downside of the product, and items you should consider before you purchase are: a little wobbly side to side because the sliding tubes do not fit tight, the arm of the tray is a bit on the short side so you cannot sit and work in a bed without being closer to the edge than normal, the casters did not fit under my couch so I cannot use it in a sitting position other than at a chair (I have a very low couch), it is sometimes difficult to find the locking position when raising or lowering the table. All in all I definitely feel the purchase was well worth the money, even with the items I didn t like about it. I don t think I would have survived my two months stuck in my house without this item! It was definitely a life saver.
Nice Table, - This table is nicely priced, good quality, plenty of room for a 17 widescreen notebook, easy to follow instructions and even comes with the tools to assemble the table
